Friday, Feb. 19th

Today there was almost nobody here so Mr. Max gave the few of us the period to work on Accelerated math and whatever else we needed to do. Kinda nice to have on a Friday. If you want you can visit This interesting uh... wiki on Math.

Daily Post

Today, we have started our class off with Mental Math #6. Then as a result of yesterdays class we went over the Question that Mr. Maksymchuk had assigned us. As a class we have looked at a page for it was very interesting to us all. A school was failing and there was a 5 to 2 agreement that 100 staff members got canned from their jobs for the school was failing. So that is one reason why we as classmates we can be happy that we go to school here. Following that Mr. Maksymchuk was talking to us all about going back and edit our posts. By that he wants us to put labels, and do our best in all of our own posts. In our work lesson today, we went over the first two methods, which was using the calculator. Following that we went on to the other using Excel, and using the internet.
Our homework for today is Question 4 & 9
We have corrected our homework and it has only taken Mr. Maksymchuk 10 minutes to do all the work on the bored.

One Week - Sequences and Series

We started off the class with a mental math quiz, which we hadn't done in quite a while. Before we started our lesson on sequences and series, Max told us the liquid nitrogen story about a prof who froze a computer and smashed it to show his students not to use their computers for things other than school in class.

Next we had a lesson on Sequences and series. The lesson showed us an exam question, and how to solve it.

On the 18 th of feb. We had a test on matracies. I belive we all did pretty good.

Test Review

Mr. Maksymchuk gave us good news. It is that he is giving us all the test questions as a review today. The test questions are going to be questions from old math exams. He showed us how to answer them to recieve full marks. Then he broke down what he thought we were supposed to learn by now.

Wednesday, February 10

Mr. Maksymchuk was out of class today. Mr Gorchinski was the substitute. The class worked on accelerated math and exercise 6, questions 1-4

Feb 11 / 2010 Fight Day

I guess there was a fight in the front hall which every kid in the school had to go see making it MORE! popular than the Pep rallies! so Mr. Max was not here right away then, we started the class by doing Mental Math as usually. We started doing a lesson on Networks (Direct vs. Indirect). Exercise 7 1-6 was assigned to us.
