May 31st
It is the last day of May. One more month of school and 6 more classes until the provinicial exam. The exam is on June 8th and 9th starting at 9:00 am both days in room 204. On day one we cover Design and Measurement and Periodic functions which is worth 25% of the exam mark. On day two we cover Matricies, Vectors, Probability, Stats, Personal Finance, and Sequences which is worth 75% of the exam.
Today in class we continued to learn about periodic functions. The notes are above but are backwards so start at the bottom of them. Sorry I messed up putting them in.

Good Afternoon! :)
Today we received our take home test for the weekend on stats which is due monday.
Today we received our take home test for the weekend on stats which is due monday.
- We are getting intructuons on how to go about doing this test cause its not like a normal test.
- Do it yourself.----> you'll learn more.... you have an exam in 7 class days....
- Plagiarism wastes your energy. (If you copy, then you re-do!)
- EXPLAIN, EXPLAIN, EXPLAIN----> show work, justify, why? * if necessary, print/ capture, etc. use extra paper.
- Use any/all resources you can think of.
- SHOW EVERYTHING!!!
- We started a new unit aswell today Appllcations of Periodic Functions, slides will be posted!

Confidence Intervals
Today we had a lesson about confidence intervals. We did a couple questions from old exams.
A confidence interval is: the interval where one can expect the mean of a sample to "happen" with a certain amount (90%,95%,99%) of confidence. Quoted by Mr. Maksymchuk.
To find confidence intervals on the calculator:
#1. STAT
#2. TESTS
#3. Down to A: 1-PropZInt.

Finally Nice In The Class Room
Well, today is much different then the other past couple days. It's finally nice enough to think in class. Almost the perfect temperature in here. It was about 27° in the classroom today. Thank-You to Brett for the nice cold treats. It helped make the day much better. We had talked about the Z-Score formula and the definition. Went over some examples and learned a lot.
Here is a site that will help you out with Z-Scores Click Here I found this site a lot of help.
Definitions : SAT - Standard Aptitude Test or Standard Assessment Test
Here are the notes and the video that was recorded today.

SUB DAY
Today we had a substitute teacher. We are to go over the old provincial exams and make our formula sheet for our test on vectors tommorow. SO pretty much just study up for the test and make sure you know how to use euklid. Have a nice day!

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today we are reviewing vectors!!!
Mr. Maksymchuk will record this.
Today Mr. Max will how u how to print nicely off of Euklid.
Friday TEST!!! next two days Mr. Max will not be in.

Friday TEST!!! next two days Mr. Max will not be in.
Test tips!
1. Put vector heads on all vectors.
2. Make sure you have scale ex. 1cm = 100 kph
3. show all measurements including degrees if asks for it.(for each vector)
4. Label vectors
5. always explain what your vector diagrams mean (ex. the resultant vector is created according to scale at 764.3 kph moving the plane in a direction of 14 degrees eat of south)
6. TAKE YOUR TIME!

At 13 and half min. mark in the recording will show you how to print off of Euklid.
20.20min mark Mr.max makes plane noises.

Monday May 10th
Today Mr. Maksymchuk talked about Vector tricks using Euklid. He also talked about a test on Friday . The test will be the same as the probabiltiy test as he will be taking questions from old exams ad making the test out of that. So start getting your formula sheets ready for Friday!!!

DAily Scribe
Today, at lunch we had taken the re-write test for Personal Finance. I'm pretty sure that the majority of us did better then before. Mr. Maksymchuk had let us know that today was the class where we could work. We have Exercise 2 and Exercise 3, to work on as well as Accelerated Math. Just reminding you all that in order to get this credit you must get all of your objectives. Well that's all for today.
