Scheduled Personal Finance RE-WRITE

The Personal Fiance Re-Write has been scheduled.
Date: WEDNESDAY MAY 5, 2010
Time: LUNCH HOUR IN MR. MAKSYMCHUK'S CLASSROOM

NEW POST!!!

Today we started with Mr.Maksymchuck handing back the tests. We did not do our daily mental math. Mr.Maksymchuck also gave us the class to work on our accelerated math. We will not have the opportunity for class time for accelerated math for a while due to the low number of classes that we are left with. The class also had a majority agreement to have the re-test on Personal finace and sequnces and series to be on MAY.5, and that is a wensday at lunch hour. Then we seen an email from an eglish teacher that spells "Manitobans" like "Manotobans"..we certainly enjoy the mid-class joke from Mr.Maksymchuck. I think that we should get more jokes such as this one. thank you...

Daily Scribe

Well, today was the day when we just had work to do. Sounds like all the other days in the world of math, but to we worked on our own unless we had needed some assistants. The assistants would then come from Mr.Maksymchuk. We were assigned F.C.B. ( Fundamental Counting Principle.) Exercise#2, 1-11 ALL. The option of working on our Accelerated math was still open, for it is still making our marks go up. To close this post, is a site that i had found, has some good probability notes and questions.

Probably Probability.

Today we began the class with Mental Math as usual.
After, Mr. Max gave us a probability lesson. He began by doing number four out of our probability booklet - The Jason and Penelope problem. It showed us how to solve this by using Pascal's Triangle.

Next, he went on to the old provincial exams, and showed us a question that was alot the same, only it was Martin going to the grocery store and Martin going to the school.

Max advised us, once again, to use the old exams to use for studying, because it is very helpful. And this way we can always know how many marks we get for what work we do.

April 9th, 2010

Hello,
Today Mr. Maksymchuk wasn't here so we had Miss Moore as a sub. We had to pick between pg 3 1A & 2B or pg 4 2a or 2b or pg 6 3b or pg 8 5A to hand in by Friday so today I'm guessing or Monday and hand it right to him if he is here. From the work booklet we received called Senior 4 Applied Mathematics ( 40s ) Design and Measurement Portfolio. and then it was just a work class.

EARLY DISMISSAL Apr. 7/10

Today we looked at more design and measurement problems. We mostly worked on the Picnic Table question. Excel seemed to be the most efficient way to solve this problem. But since the class was cut short due to early dismissal we didnt quite get the whole problem finished.

Thursday April 8

Mr. Maksymchuk was out of the class so Miss Moore was the substitute. We are to work on questions 1A and 1B on page 3, OR 2A on page 4, OR 2B on page 4, OR 3B on page 6, OR 5A on page 8. The questions are due after Friday's class.
